Dr Kali Day, DAOM, L.Ac.

Born and raised on the gulf coast of Florida, Kali's training began by studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida in 2002.  There she met  and began her continuing apprenticeship with the late Dr. Richard Tan, developer of The Balance Method of acupuncture- an efficient, targeted treatment protocol for pain relief and internal imbalances using meridian therapy.  Concurrently she completed a 4,000 hour classical apprenticeship with the late Dr. Lorraine Da'Luz Vieira-Jones, a professional five-element clinician and Doctor of Ethno-Medical Anthropology from Oxford University.  The focus of these studies was in Taoist philosophy as applied to Five-Element Acupuncture.

In 2020, Kali finished her postgraduate degree as a Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine; currently the most advanced degree recognized in the field.  Her doctoral research focused on the anthropological origins of the many styles of acupuncture practiced in the US today. In 2007 she had the honor of working with Dr. Dawa Dolma, the personal physician to H.H. the Dalai Lama  and the first female physician to have this position in all of history.

Kali opened her first acupuncture clinic in 2007 in Wichita, Kansas; in 2013 she relocated with her family to Eugene, Oregon.  While maintaining a clinical practice she has also developed courses introducing acupuncture through the five-elements and masters classes which dive into cultivating harmony through the Spirit of the Points.  Both combine her clinical experiences of TCM acupuncture and Five-Element acupuncture. 

The primary focus of her practice over the past fifteen years has been in women's health and balancing hormones to optimize fertility. She has worked with all sorts of people seeking to grow their family in all sorts of ways!

Kali is also well versed in the radiant effects of pregnancy, in the power of birthing, and has done extensive work helping women heal from physically and emotionally challenging births.

When not practicing, Kali enjoys growing flowers, exploring the pnw with her family and doggo, and eating her husband's homemade gelato.
